aka "The Curious Observer" writes with the eye of a cartoonist and the mind of a designer. His work transforms ordinary observations into witty, relatable ideas that make readers pause, smile, and think. Through books like i didn’t say it!, he captures the humor hidden in everyday life with simplicity and sharp insight. In January 2025, "I Didn't Say It!" acquired Amazon Best Seller Rank #19 in just 8 months from its launch in April 2024. It has also won the prestigious Literary Awards 2025 by TRI: The Rise Insights, India!
In 2025, “I didn’t say it!” was archived by the National Library of India in Kolkata. The books will be preserved as a part of nation’s literary and intellectual history.
Paul Sandip made his debut appearance as an author at the Goa Arts and Literature Festival GALF 2026, curated by none other than the Jnanpith awardee Shri Damodar Mauzo and organized by the International Centre Goa in association with the Goa Writers Group.

Best Cartoonist of the Year
Paul Sandip was awarded as the “Best Cartoonist of the Year 2000” by Nagpur University. He started professional cartooning at the age of 14, while studying in std. 9 at Calcutta Boys' School. His cartoons stem from his observations of everyday life. He got his first break as a short story writer & illustrator with The Statesman, Kolkata. Later, while pursuing Engineering he worked as a part-time sub-editor with Lokmat Times, Nagpur. This is where he started his own daily Pocket cartoon column “Not as you see! He has also worked as a freelance cartoonist with The Happening Nagpur, The Hitavada and Times of India.
With bold black lines and minimalist humour, Paul creates cartoons that speak louder than paragraphs. His sketches blend satire, empathy, and social observation into a single frame, often leaving the audience laughing first and reflecting later. His signature style proves that humour doesn’t need complexity to make a strong impact.
Global Industrial Designer
Paul Sandip, is an eminent Industrial Designer known for his unique ability, “Innovation by Observation”. He is a winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award twice, recipient of the “Designpreneur” title from Shri Narendra Modi. Paul Sandip is a notable alumni of the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad and an adjunct professor at IIT Kanpur. He has designed over 1000+ products for his clients worldwide and is the only Indian designer to be listed amongst Top 30 Industrial designers globally by Dexigner, New York.
Paul has won over 40 design awards including the LiteOn Merit Award from President of Taiwan Mr.Ma Ying-jeou in 2010, Japanese Eyewear Design Opus Award 2006 & 2009, Elle Decor 2011 Young Talent Award & was a Finalist at 2009 Index Award, Denmark. His works & thoughts have been extensively published by major design & business magazines, aired by radio/TV & exhibited internationally including the Triennale Museum in Milan, Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt, Red Dot Award Show in Singapore, Avenue of Stars Hong Kong, Lite-On Awards Show in Taiwan, Index Design Exhibition in Denmark, Thailand International Furniture Fair in Bangkok, Design Korea Exhibition, Design Olympiad in Seoul, Alliance Francaise in Delhi & several other exhibitions. Paul's work is held in permanent collections of Danish Design Museum, Copenhagen since 2009, as an example of Design to improve life!
In 2019 Paul was selected to represent Industrial Design at the India-Italy Tech Leadership Roundtable in the august presence of His Excellency Mr. Giuseppe Conte the Prime Minister of Italy and Shri Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of India. In May 2023, he was invited by the City Govt. of Moscow to speak on Design Innovation at Moscow Interior & Design Week. He was invited again in Oct'23. Paul Sandip is a Core Team member at Govt. of India’s IPR SIX to provide expert opinion on the key issues shaping India’s submission to WIPO concerning the Design Law Treaty 2024. Paul Sandip is a member of the CII National Committee on Design & Innovation for the year 2025-26.
